Nicea Conference 2025
A gathering 1700 years in the making
Seventeen centuries ago, pastors from every corner of the world gathered in the city of Nicea (Iznik, Türkiye) for the First Council of Nicea. These early leaders united to address denials concerning the divinity of Jesus Christ.
Out of a scriptural conviction that Jesus is God, this council penned the Nicene Creed, which stands as the most widely confessed and majestic expression of the Christian faith, underpinning the essence of the gospel we confess.
The aim of this conference is to commemorate the heritage of the church, to remind us of the truth proclaimed through the ages, and to exhort us to proclaim and protect the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Trailer
Nicene Creed (325)
We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down and was incarnate and was made man; he suffered, and the third day he rose again, ascended into heaven; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
And in the Holy Spirit.

A Word from Turkish Pastors

I am so excited for this conference, which will not only remind us of our country's rich Christian heritage through these scholars and servant leaders but also provide an opportunity for us, as local brothers and sisters, to gather together to pray for sound doctrine and faithful lives to our Triune God, as the Nicene Creed declared.

There is one question that we all have to answer repeatedly until the end of the world: Who is Christ? The Council of Nicaea provided a clear answer to this question for the entire Christian world: True God from true God. Hearing about Christ 1700 years later, in the same land, from various renowned theologians, will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience. As a Turkish Christian, I am truly excited.

When I first heard about this conference, I got chills. It's a fantastic idea. I'm incredibly happy to be able to witness this unique event with great speakers and guests. As a Christian living in Turkey, this gathering gives me great courage and makes me feel that I'm not alone. I'm eagerly looking forward to this meeting.
